Your New Favorite Salad

This will become your favorite salad - Trust Me! Tangy balsamic vinaigrette enhances this fresh salad of greens, red onion, apples, cranberries and pistachios.

Ingredients

Balsamic Vinaigrette

  • 1/3 Cup Olive Oil
  • 1/4 Cup Balsamic Vinegar
  • 2 t Dijon Mustard
  • 2 Cloves Garlic Dices
  • 1 T Maple Syrup
  • Salt and Pepper

The SALAD

  • 1 Bunch Romaine Lettuce Cleaned and Chopped
  • 1 Bunch Green Leaf Lettuce Cleaned and Chopped
  • 1 Small Red Onion Diced
  • 1 Apple - we use Honeycrisp Chopped
  • Dried Cranberries
  • Roasted, Shelled and Salted Pistachios

Instructions

Balsamic Vinaigrette

  • In a container with a cover, add all the ingredients. Mix well and set aside. For best results, place it in the refrigerator for at least one hour.

The SALAD

  • In a salad bowl, fill with 1/2 Romaine and 1/2 Green Leaf. Mix together.
  • Add a couple spoonful's of the diced red onion, a small handful of chopped apples, dried cranberries and pistachios.
  • Dress the salad with a decent amount of balsamic vinaigrette and some fresh ground pepper.
