The Klinker Brick 2018 Old Vine Zin is just a really good wine! Very affordable and quite bold for a Zin at this price. Old Vine refers to the age of the vines and based on my research, to qualify for “old vine”, they need to be at least 50 years old. The vines that produced the grapes for this Zin are at least 65 years or older! The Klinker Brick 2018 Zin starts with a strong fruit forward note, followed by some nice spice notes with quite a nice and balanced finish. Compared to a lot of lower priced Zin’s, the Klinker Brick is full of body, flavor and is very enjoyable to drink!
