Ingredients
- 1 Can Chix peas
- 2 to 3 Cloves Garlic
- 1/4 Cup Tahini sauce
- 3 T Fresh lemon juice
- 2 T Chix peas liquid (aqufaba)
- 1 t Salt
- 1 t Cumin
- Few Dashes Hot sauce
- 1/4 Cup Olive oil
Instructions
- Drain the chix peas, but save the liquid. You will use some of it for the hummus, but there a lot of other uses for aquafaba or chix pea liquid - trust me!
Place all the ingredients except the olive oil into a food processor.
- Blend until very smooth - I usually blend for 2 or 3 minutes.
- Slowly pour the olive oil into the food processor while it is running - SAFELY!
- Place into a container and refrigerate for 30 minutes before serving.
Notes
Notes You can add more garlic for a Garlic hummus. You can add some roasted red peppers for a Red Pepper Hummus. Or add any other flavoring to change up your traditional Hummus.
Note: I serve with fresh pitas that I bake for 8 minutes with a little olive oil and garlic salt and cut into wedges (you can do the same with Naan). I also serve with cut up fresh cucumbers, red peppers, carrots or whatever veggie you like
